About The Artist
I have been creating since I can remember. I was always on my bike, off some beaten path, exploring and collecting things I found in nature…. fascinated by the diversity and beauty in all things organic.
Along the way, I was an Environmental Graphic designer, and then taught high school ceramics, painting and sculpture.
My tribe of Wanderlust figures evolved out of a passion to artistically translate the elements of nature, like wood and clay, while at the same time raise awareness of conservation and regeneration issues facing our National forests today.
My embellished Pinecones of Tahoe showcase some of the biggest and smallest Pinecones in the world found in the Tahoe National Forest, and hopefully their beauty in extremes will raise awareness of how important it is to regenerate disease resistant seeds of trees that are in crisis, like the Sugar Pine whose pinecones are the largest in the world. Also, forest fires are growing in size, number of fires and intensity every year, so regeneration efforts are critical.
My endless desire to explore, touch, smell, look and listen to the beat of the forest away from the loud, non-stop buzz of modern life, always changes my perception and perspective of what is most important. My hope is that my art will inspire you to wander down the roads less travelled.
Enjoy the journey friends!

Each one of a kind Wings of Wanderlust sculptures is created from wood that has fallen on the forest floor from the Tahoe National Forest. The head and wings are fashioned out of clay and embossed with positive messages and images that begin a story for you to finish.
Each unique embellished Pinecones of Tahoe has been hand collected from the floor of the Tahoe National Forest, and then baked to glaze the sap before embellishing them. My hope is that my art will raise awareness and encourage involvement in forest regeneration and conservation. My mission statement is:
Bring home a piece of Tahoe. Leave behind a legacy of conservation.
A portion of our proceeds will be donated to local forest regeneration and conservation foundations so thank you for helping to keep our forests healthy!
